According to Ben Breiner, Teague suffered a foot injury rendering him unable to practice or play for 10-12 weeks. Better now than during the season, but there's always a risk of re-injury or other side effects. Not to mention that's 10-12 weeks of almost zero developmental progress

That is an unfortunate beginning for a talented recruit.

I knew it was a bad idea to have those cattle guards installed in the practice floor.

Unbelieveable. It's always something with our best recruits or key starters.

"Unbelieveable. It's always something with our best recruits or key starters."
And so it begins. Some things never change.

As a BSU basketball fan, I would not be able to find my mental balance without these regular kicks to the groin that we continually receive in the form of bad news about the roster...so accustomed have I become to them.

The key to turning this all around is low in the Breiner article and deals with Seller's hairstyle choice.
Whitford should immediately order a stop to all showering, shaving, hair-cutting or anything else that resembles personal hygiene. This will stop the injuries, instill a sense of toughness in the team and make other teams unwilling to get within 10 feet of the Cardinals.
We'll have our own Dirty Dozen.

Mills this is just not necessary. We already have our dirty dozen who comprise the Nest in Worthen Arena.

As for the other content in Breiner's article, it seems like it was mostly stuff we had already heard from Ft Wayne.
I have to admit that hearing about Wells's and Moses's jump shots does little for me. You know, there are three kids on my local high school's team that shoot jumpers really well. And a couple others on the JV team. If that's what we want on our frontline, then maybe I should try to create a connection and set us up with a frontcourt recruiting pipeline that will keep us stocked for years to come.
Instead of "Wells showed a fluid jumper, especially in the mid-range" I'd rather hear "Wells was so enraged at being scored on that he picked up the entire basket support and threw it into the 8th row of the bleachers."
And instead of "Freshman center Trey Moses showed a solid jumper and enough range to nail a corner 3 against the shot clock during team work", I'd like to hear that "Practice was short-handed because several of the walk-ons are terrified of Moses and were hiding in the locker room's bathroom stalls."

It is important because of pick and roll basketball and because coach wants room in the lane for House to be a good scorer. These guys have to be decent mid range shooters or their defender will drop back and clog the middle.
Wells defensive role will not be stopping every attempt, more to defend the rim and make it hard to drive the middle, and he has demonstrated that over his college career. We will give up shots by his man away from the basket.
Moses need not terrify anybody as a freshman, just play solid basketball and go get rebounds. This scoring on pick and pop moves is a bonus.
