ISU today, Central Michigan in regular MAC wrap up.
must beat Central 3 straight to get 2-seed.
2-5 seeds are up for grabs with these three games.

With pitching staff injuries I just don't see good things happening vs cmu.

Man this forum is blind. This offense is terrible. Same lineup for 4 years will do that. The starters care about one thing, their stats. They haven't had to worry about what they do on the field (especially the seniors) since the first day.Because they knew they were always going to start the next game. Our philosophy is 3 run homers. The problem is we only got one guy that can do that.If this team wins more then 1 out of the next 5 it will be a miracle.

It's not a good offense. Can't string hits together consistently and lacks clutch hitting. They've stranded a ton of runners.

If Friday's game, Cards were down 4-2 in the Tof8. Theisen hits a grand salami to put Cards up 6-4.
Was 6-4 going into B0f9. Burns strikes out 1st batter, but 3rd strike was a WP. Batter gets 1st. He then walks next two batters to fill bases with no outs. Next batter SACs in one run ( 6-5). Next batter hits an HR (8-6 CMU).
FML!

WPs and BBs have been our nemesis since early in the year. Finally bit us in the butt. Pass me another beer....

Certainly was a rough way to lose today in the 9th. Usually I would feel comfortable about adding 6 runs heading into the bottom of the 9th.

Not sure if we are in running now for a 3 seed. Eastern is a game up on us with one to play, and I don't know the potential tie breaker.
If we lose today, we could be tied with Ohio who beat us three straight. We appear to be headed for a 5-seed.
Doesn't matter, the MAC-tournament albatross would put us out in 2 anyway

This team is self destructing with the walks & errors. I thought 2 weeks ago that they could put it all together in the tournament now I think they are tired & just want it to end. If they win more than one in the tourney I will be surprised.

I had heard there were guys who just wanted it over with. Then they went on the win streak. But then a frontline pitcher got hurt. I don't think they have enough left to compete in the tourney.
