Liked the black helmets today, but personally the camo and pink helmets I thought were lacking.
Nice ideas and look good in photos and video, but don't make much of an impact from the stands, IMO.

I agree. Frankly I'm tired of the whole "pink" thing. It would be much more helpful if teams saved the money they spend on pink gear and donate it to breast cancer research. Some marketing guy for one of the uniform and equipment manufacturers got a big bonus for coming up with that idea.

My wife and I were discussing this during last weekends NFL game. Seems like the "Awareness" month goes year round anymore. All the pink paraphernalia $$$ could be used for the ACTUAL cause. Thought it might not be PC to even bring this up.

It's a marketing ploy to sell gear (just like the throwback units) and try to get more women watching and attending games. I wish the whole pink campaign would go away, and just let me watch football without preaching to me about breast cancer. We're aware, already! It's distasteful for the NFL to ask me to buy pink gear when the NFL is the one making the most money off the deal. The retailer gets 50%, so when you buy off the NFL website, guess who's the retailer? link

Actually your link might even be giving the NFL too much credit. Apparently a grand total of zero percent of the money goes to "research" according to another link I found. sports.vice.com/en_us/article/the-nfls-pink-october-does-not-raise-money-for-cancer-research
