I've got a feeling Miami will be fixing a hole to get back to where they were, before they can be getting better, because their point guard situation is nowhere, man.

You think you’re a paperback writer or something, Sherm? You’d better go back and hide in the Norwegian wood. Or back in the ussr.

I think we've found the fool on the hill. Hopefully, he'll be getting better soon. Until then, just let it be.

I don't know but I have often thought this site was more hard edged, with booze, beer, harder drugs, not hallucigens.
Not really the trippy children of the 60's, except maybe in fantasy predictions and dreamy memories of past glories. Here, I thought we have no sympathy for the devil, like honky tonk women, too often can't get no satisfaction, and definitely don't get what we want.
This thread indicates we are less like a rolling stone than I thought, more like the effete artistic acid tripping Liverpudlians.
Even the General, maybe.

more like the effete artistic acid tripping Naw, quit beating around the bush, just call them what they are. A over produced boy band who recorded a bunch of nuvo- show tunes passed-off as pop music.

Throwing aside all considerations of style, history, social relevance, machismo and whatever else, the Beatles just plain have an absolute shitload of good songs.

Yeah but Hey Jude isn't one of them, and it's the song self-professed Beatles fans usually place atop their list of greats. Sort of calls into question the average Beatles fans taste in music.

I don't think the popularity of Hey Jude (or Yesterday) is driven primarily by Beatles fans. I think those are songs other people gravitate to for some reason. Hey Jude is definitely below average...the na na na part goes on way too long for one thing. If some self-professed Beatles fan put that atop their list, I would have some questions for them about their professing.
My favorites would currently be: and your bird can sing, good morning good morning, I feel fine, I'll cry instead if I fell

Sounding like Ringo is back on the team at Miami. The band is getting back together. Good for them. Not good for us when we play them.
