1-11. Our only victory coming against Notre Dame That's not gonna happen. But I would happily take our lone victory over Indiana, just to see the looks on their faces on November when they're jerking it to the Old Oaken Bucket.

I don't go in for that sort of thing. But what a man does in the privacy of his own home...

I say 3-9, possibly 2-10 with EMU loss. Opponent | Outcome | Comment | Central Connecticut | W | CCSU has been decent in years past, but I don't see them in the FCS Top 25. BSU wins at home. | Notre Dame | L | Gonna be a rough one, with a nice payout. Just great to see us play in one of the football shrines | Indiana | L | It could be close, but our secondary is an unknown. Will require forcing some mistakes. | Western Kentucky | L | More athletes and better players than us. | Kent State | W | Kent is rebuilding. We have them at home. We need to start the MAC off with a win. | Northern Illinois | L | Our secondary is still a weakness. NIU will throw, and throw often. | Central Michigan | L | We have no special teams | Eastern Michigan | W | No guarantee. | Ohio | L | They will pass all day on our secondary. | Toledo | L | They will pass all day on our secondary. (see the theme) | Western Michigan | L | They will pass all day on our secondary. | Miami | L | Well balanced Miami team will probably be in the bowl hunt. Will defend at home.

3 wins likely. 4 is possible. 5 is a long shot. 6 is stretching even the Kid's optimism.
At 7 wins, I'm getting in the bomb shelter, because it would have to be the end of the world.
1 or 2 wins, and Neu might be out.

Even if we double up and win 4, if we continue to get torched by 30+ points in conference defeats I can't imagine he gets another year.

Even if we double up and win 4, if we continue to get torched by 30+ points in conference defeats I can't imagine he gets another year. If we get torched by 30+ regularly, I see Elson getting cut loose. If we have a boat load of injuries again, you have to get rid of the strength & conditioning coach and any staff. Neu probably stays, but is on a very short leash.

Found this in an article I had not read before
“This change isn’t a reflection on Joey,” Neu said. “I have always intended to eventually call the plays since I’d done that prior to coming here, but I wanted to get things settled-in first.
“After two years, I’m ready to assume that role and our fans will see a more wide-open attack with more no-huddle and an emphasis on keeping the opposing defense on its heels.”

“It’s not a reflection in Joey but you’ll see a better offense with me calling the plays.”

''This is not a reflection on Joey but with me calling the plays we will keep the defense on it's heels and more no huddle to keep the ball moving, even though I approved of the tired old game plans that Joey was forced to call the last two seasons''

After so many years of just trying to average 3.334 yards per play I'm excited to see this new offense.
