damn it Mills you have stepped up your game.. Realitycheck has always been our best poster and since he is the incumbent he is tough to beat. I deff think your hat should at least be in the ring though

This purdue guy is killing me so I am zoning him out.. If we think a couple years there was the time Riley had the phantom Injury right around the time the fan base was clamoring for Milas. Milas got one start and proceeded to shit down his leg. So maybe Riley has always been on a short leash but the staff has never had another option I'm not sure Milas was the only issue last season because the same things happened this season... Personally, I think it is the team as a whole. Defense, Offense, special teams and more haven't been great the past few years.

We got one win against a team without it's starting QB. I'm not sure the results were better. I didn't say better. My point was merely that while some folks seem to hold that particular statistic as meaningful, it didn't seem to matter much in how many wins either QB was involved in. Yes, Plitt had 1 win in 3 starts against a team playing with its back-up QB and in a game where the opposing coach probably lost the game with a poor decision. Whatever the reasons though, I think it's easy to say WMU was the best team we defeated this year. On the other hand, Neal had 3 wins in 9 starts (same ratio), beating an FCS school, a 2-9 team with a horrific defense and a 1-10 team with its back-up QB. Both resumes equally impressive/unimpressive despite their varied TD-Int ratio. Good Point! I just looked up Neal's career wins and it is 10.... in four years. Not very good.

The QB always gets more blame than he should.. This year I would say the O line should share that blame with the QB. The o line sucked... The defense was bad I thought they were better but not really. They did force more turnovers and seemed to be opportunistic but my lord the tackling.. Tackling is effort and fundamentals though some of that has to be on the players. Your playing d1 football now. You have been playing since your 8 you should know how to tackle

I think the defense was much worse as the year went on. Tackling was much better early on. Is that a strength and conditioning issue?

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Rusty Nail, it is two ounces of Scotch (I enjoy Famous Grouse but use your fave) and an ounce of Drambuie. Sweet but no too sweet. Really tasty even for people do not care for scotch straight up. Happy Holidays.

I think the defense was much worse as the year went on. Tackling was much better early on. Is that a strength and conditioning issue? You gotta wonder. Also have to look at maybe the staff is unable to make adjustments as the season goes on. And, look at the DC’s career at the d1 level. It’s incredibly abysmal. Our defense is as bad as his defenses have always been. Bad hire made out of the Lynch connections. It seems like the talent was better than how it played. Player development is yet another issue.

In this day and age how in the name of everything that is holy could you possibly have a subpar weight program. If for some odd reason you were not reaching the set goals I would think there would be a thousand young knowledgable weight coaches itching to get a job at a D-1 school. Remember what Kinky Friedman said when running for Governor of Texas years ago,''How hard can it be?''
