Unfortunately, I was only able to make it to two Ball State games this year (the first game against Central Connecticut and the last game against WMU). So, I fully admit that my opinions are based on a limited data set. However, what really struck me as I was sitting in the stadium, freezing my a$$ off during the Western game was how WMU dominated the line of scrimmage, both offensively and defensively. Frankly, it reminded me of those Stan Parrish-led teams. I know that injuries have something to do with it, but all football teams have injuries. Until Ball State builds strength and depth on both the offensive and defensive line, I don't think Ball State will have any type of consistent success. The skill players get the attention. And losing your starting qb and rb is not a good look. But given the current depth at rb and if Paddock is as good as rumored, having your entire o-line back (and hopefully Slaven back healthy), certainly seems to me to be more important to the future success of Ball State's offense.

For years the Achilles heel has been the trenches. Every team we play seems to have much bigger and stronger dudes on both sides of the ball. 2008 team had a great oline. NFL players. Lembos bowl teams had solid o lines (get the ball out quick offense Helped).
Pete’s later teams were manhandled. New’s teams get manhandled. It all starts there.

I cannot express how happy (maybe not happy) I was to see the AD make mention of the S/C issues. That tells we have one who is paying attention and not sitting on their hands like prior AD's.

Mentioned this somewhere else. That home town attention everywhere he goes can't be good. Fresh start, away from this controversy has plusses. Right. Hometown pressure from Ball State football fans can be overwhelming at times. I was thinking more about his dad's situation creating problems as a home town boy, has to get old answering questions, and although I am sure he gets support, bet he'd rather have nobody know about it, not have to deal with talking about it.

Hadn't really thought much about that but I definitely agree.

Since we are purely speculating, I can't tell if Malik Dunner is looking elsewhere or is talking about someone else or neither on twitter.

It’s hard for me to understand some of the twitter lingo, but I didn’t see anything from Dunner suggesting he’s transferring unless I missed something. Nolan Givans?

Something I was thinking about that hasn’t been talked much about was Neal, and for that matter, Gilbert’s support or lack there of in the locker room specifically his teammates. I wonder if Neal didn’t feel that his team was behind him and ready to follow him no matter what. I get the impression that to some extent they weren’t based on the on field lack of, Idk, enthusiasm or Hell yeah we’re going to make sure we get it done and fight for the win?!?

I do not know but we all saw the team responded to rallied and looked to be having more fun playing withPlitt out there. This is not a knock on Riley but it was pretty obvious

Trials and Tribulations Good or bad, everything happens for a reason I found those odd as well but I cant make sense of them.. I like to look at who a person is following the more recent follows are always near the top of the list.. For example check out who HUntley is following it does not always mean something but it its always a good clue in the puzzle.. Dunner does not to seem to be following anyone new but those tweets are kinda disturbing

RB could go from a position of strength to a real question mark if more leave. I sure hope Evans is good.

I gotta think Gilbert leaving influences Huntley into staying.. HUntley would be the starter and Dunner would still do his thing. Both would get more carries if HUntley or Dunner leave it tells us they are pissed about something other than playing time
