Ohio turned in a solid effort last night with a 27-0 shut out of San Diego State. They looked good in all three phases of the game, which is pretty remarkable after a team is off for a few weeks.
I don't even think they committed a penalty all night. They were ready.

Well coached and prepared team. Better than most MAC bowl team efforts.

Looks like a two loss Friday with Western now trailing 28-10
This will drop the MAC to 1-4 in bowl games with one game remaining.

I kinda want to go back to the days when teams had to earn a bowl and not just stumble into them because there are too many bowls. Mac teams for the most part aren’t good enough given the bowl track record.

Buffalo is a 1 point favorite in the MAC’s last bowl game tomorrow against Troy.
SunBelt has been a tough conference. Should be a good game or Buffalo could belly-up like they did in the last half of the championship game.

The whole key for Buffalo is Jackson staying or leaving? I suspect he is leaving & will consider this his chance to show the world what they could get. So I think Buffalo gets beat with Jackson throwing a ton of passes.

Troy took advantage of Buffalo's turnovers. Too many turnovers for a bowl team.
MAC ends up 1-5. Ohio looked good.
Why does the MAC do so poorly in the bowl games? Are we really that bad, is it our mindset or are we physically out of shape?
Our bowl record surely hurts our recruiting.

The MAC has proven they ARE really that bad compared to other conferences.

The MAC has proven they ARE really that bad compared to other conferences. Not just this year, pretty much every year. To slow and not physical enough, nor the depth to compete with most every D1 conferences in the country. It just embarrassing! Not sure the conference has an answer to the problem.

Huh? The answers are obvious. Add seating to stadiums that nobody will ever sit in. Zillion dollar indoor practice facilities. More palatial coaching offices. A new uniform and helmet for every game. More, more, more student fees and taxpayer dollars.
