Can we beat the Miami hex in the Millett bat cave and keep the train rolling? We need to win and really build up a head of steam into March.

Miami is a “below middle of the pack” MAC team in almost all statistical categories. It’s only the hex hurdle that needs to be overcome. “To the batpoles, Batman!”

How can ANYONE have any confidence in this staff when the question is... Can Ball State beat a bottom feeder from a terrible basketball conference? Is this talk of a possible extension be serious? How much further could our once proud program fall? We have been so bad for so long our fans have been reduced to expect mediocrity. One gets what one requires. I am fully aware of the ''limitations'' that a MAC team faces, but I feel that this is a crutch many use as an excuse. Let's stand up, thank Whit for his effort and move on with a new staff and an elevated list of expectations.

He just blew a bunch of sunshine up everyone's ass then failed to follow through. Sort of reminds me of a lot of sales people I have worked with.

Yep, I use to travel over there for our games. I think I saw 1 win. A difficult place for us for sure.

A bunch of Indiana players that are about 2 yrs younger than our Indiana players get their Indy bragging rights if they win again.

Road games are never a sure thing and Miami is a tough place to play. The game is likely a close one.
I'd have much less confidence in a staff that assumed this game was an easy one.

But we’re supposed to be better then that, right? Or is the Whitford program simply middle of the pack and that’s it?

I stand by my words. The MAC is a terrible basketball conference. I remember in the 90s when Dick Vitale called the MAC the most underrated in the country for basketball. Now it is one of the bottom feeders among the conferences that qualify to place a team in the NCAA tournament. In short the MAC sucks and so does BSU .

The MAC is the 9th best of the 30 D1 conferences. Is it Big 10 or Big East? No, but respectable.

I do not care who ranked the MAC 9th in the nation. Tell them to wake up and smell the coffee. What criteria did they use. Remember the saying that ''figures lie and liars figure''. If the MAC #9 in the country I will eat your shorts on the court house steps at high noon and give you a half hour to draw a crowd. I do not want to get into a pissing contest (maybe I'm already in one) but MAC basketball is just unwatchable and many of the fans on this site are worried about a .500 team in Miami we are playing. What does that say about our conference and BSU?

I think the MAC rates the highest it has in recent days...and Buffalo has been in the top 25 virtually all season....there are 3 other teams that are pretty good too.
I agree with Cardfan...I see this as a important game and could give us a much needed lift....is everyone back tonight???
