Unfortunately, the administration pays attention to the "supportive" fans who show up for games and go for a little glad-handing.
This somehow blinds them to all the vacant seats in Worthen, representing the "non-supportive" fanbase vocal most of the time only in their absence.
As for Grunk, probably a nice guy and some have said has a different philosophy of how to play the game than does Whitford. If that's the case, he's done himself a disservice by staying. If you're a personality strong enough to be a good head coach, you don't sit on a bench for 6 years behind a guy who coaches a brand of ball you yourself don't believe in. That's probably not someone I want as a head coach.

If we can’t afford a buyout, how about bringing in a young “co-coach” for next year? Let Whit coach the first half and then turn it over to Mr. Wonderful at halftime.
Isn’t that how they pried Keady out of his chair?
