Have we had one that played signicant minutes or impacted our program or have they been a wasted scholarship?

Pretty much wasted scholarships, fillers for a staff that couldn't recruit useful players. Wells was probably the biggest contributor but even he didn't bring a lot. Dou Dou and Nehls were pretty clearly wasted. I think that's all of them under Whitford or did I miss someone?

Was Webber a grad transfer? He was decent. No, Webber transferred from Youngstown State with two years of eligibility.

There was another big, blonde haired guy whose name escapes me. Didn't see the floor much.....

Whitford's transfer of the big guy was a pretty good move. We could have used him during Trey's injury if he were on the roster and it would have made a difference in a number of games the the last two years.
That guy could have played a lot more the year he was here, but we had a lineup that did not suffer injuries and was clicking reasonably well.

If you're talking about Nate Wells, he was a non-starter at Bradley and was a non-factor here as well. If you are a grad transfer from a mid-major and are not moving up to a bigger school or conference there's about a 100% chance it's because you or your previous team is lousy or perhaps both. Bradley was just that and he was too. Nehls has given us virtually nothing most games. Same for Doo Doo who produced at the same level as his moniker. And, although not grad transfers, let's not forget the forgettable contributions of Bik Gill and Naiel Smith who both were warm bodies with frigid output. Shall I keep going or do you want to defend another stupid failed strategy?

The better grad transfers are going to draw a good deal of interest and therefore a lot of recruiting competition. Whitford has better things to do with his time

If it were up to me Whitford would have time to pursue every outside interest he has.
