So if we beat Eastern Michigan at Eastern we get to play Toledo in Cleveland. A win over Toledo and we most likely would get to play Bowling Green and then Buffalo. Like this is going to happen.

This team is what it is. Not good! Take your junk yard dog and give him a milkbone. Coach sucks. No shooters....unless you put them on the ‘gun’ with no defender. I have never seen a team consistently ‘out stat’ their opponent and lose! Turnovers kill. And turnovers start at the PG position.

"Either we don’t have the players we thought we did or Whitford flat cannot coach. Or both?" It's more the players. The Cards hit those three point shots back in December and even in the early games in January. These past few games the Cards have been pressed to score even 60 points. The coach will accept the responsibility because his job is dependent on the wins and losses, but the Cards simply missed shots when wide open. Both Mallers and Persons shooting percentages on the threes were down from last season. Only Ish had improved and he missed a bunch of games. It will be over Monday night. That's a good thing. Go Cards! RF We have the same players that lost by 9 to both Purdue and Virginia Tech and dominated Toledo in the first MAC game. It is something else.

Question here. Why do the Cards shoot the three point shot so poorly at Worthen? Are they not practicing in Worthen and only practicing in the Shondell practice gym? The Cards have actually won more league games on the road and shot better away. It' very odd. Go Cards! RF Alright, will someone please step up and volunteer to make a tutorial video on quoting other posters for Mr. Ballman? He is clearly not "playing the right way," which seems to be hard to do around here.

Incredibly flawed roster. That’s on the coach.

We are horrible fundamentally, lack shooters, lack toughness, and are very predictable on both ends of the court.

I thought before the season this team would start well because we were an older team from an age standpoint. But the problem would be that we would not improve like other teams. Tayler was better last yr as was Mallers & Gunn. Unless their is a super star that did not see the court this yr next yr will be the same or worse. Four of the 11 were 4th yr players & 2 were 5th yr & 2 were 3rd yr. Whit's older players do not get better they stagnate after yr 2.

So next year we lose Persons and Moses (and possibly Teague), and head into the final year of what will OBVIOUSLY be a lame duck contract with Whitford.
If you guys think recruiting has sucked to this point, you'd better strap in.

Some perspective on a 6-12 MAC record:
6-12 was Buckley's worst MAC record...his final year before he was fired.
5-11 was Thompson's MAC record, also Taylor's record his first year, when he was picking up the pieces from Thompson. That was also Taylor's worst MAC record.
BSU went 18 years from 1987 to 2005, with 4 different coaches, without having a MAC record that bad.

This guy is the king of clueless. So, what do you do at the end of the game on a Senior night, win or lose? You pull your seniors in the final minute so they can get one last ovation from the fans. Numbnuts leaves them both in at the ten second mark down 7 and the three second mark down 6 or 7. Games over James. Show some class and let the fans give em a final round. Just an idiot.
Also no timout as they rattled off ten ten straight to cut a 20-7 lead down to three. No timeout when they ripped off nine straight to turn a tie game into a moot point at the 6:25 mark left to play. He is CLUELESS.
