PUKE! I'm enjoying Butler's struggles. The struggle is real for a Cardinal fan... Yeah they lost to Nebraska tonight. Betting Collier has Jordan on a short leash. If Jordan doesn't have them back in the Tourney next season he is gone.

Unlike most teams, Collier probably has next coach narrowed down to 1 or 2. I was really surprised he put Jordan in there, unless Holtman caught him totally by surprise.

There's an incredible arrogance at Butler that anyone "in the family" can just carry on the "Butler Way" with relative ease.

The funny thing is Thad Matta is just sitting in Carmel waiting for his next gig.

I don't know, neither Holtman nor Stevens had any Butler affiliation when Collier initially hired them. They also never showed any interest in elevating Andrew Graves to head coach when Stevens leap frogged him.

Cardfan I really think you may be correct Bryce may be back within 2 yrs unless he gets Vandy to 500 in SEC in that time. I just can see it. And I can see brad Stevens back at butler in a couple years if Boston keeps going south on him. Not a chance.

Valparaiso just lost another one; Markus Golder, JR (RS) from Oregon is on the way out per Verbal Commits.

I've heard that this one kid Williamson will NOT be returning to Duke next year. Whitford needs to get on him.

I don't know, neither Holtman nor Stevens had any Butler affiliation when Collier initially hired them. They also never showed any interest in elevating Andrew Graves to head coach when Stevens leap frogged him. For the genius that Collier gets credited with, he's hardly hit home runs with his hires since Stevens left. Miller was obviously a bad choice. Collier lucked in to the fact that Holtman was already on staff (yes, I know some people called that situation planning and foresight but it's looking more and more like a bit of good fortune). Now Jordan appears to be a real question mark. The Bulldogs are living off Stevens and the fact that they lucked into Holtman. They've got a lot to live up to next year.

I thought the Miller hire made sense at the time, but Jordan was a reach. Part of the issue was it was June when Holtman left and Butler didn't have a lot of choices. The rumor is they had a deal in principle with Matta that fell through at the last minute.

IMO, the next recruiting class must have a solid big man and a solid point guard. Mosses is the only center that Whit has recruited, a good player, but not great (just a wonderful person). After six years, time is up if he doesn’t get a big.
