Well, jeez, no excuses at all. That's the first time I've been wrong about something in a while...I think the last time was around 2005 or so. Faulty memory.

Hope he is right about shooting, I want to see the proof, and hope he is willing to play faster to take advantage of KJ and Teague and others who are good athletes.

I waited all week for this article and it was lame. Only part that was interesting was it puts the teague question to rest

Am I right to interpret the following sentence from the article: "Tahjai Teague and K.J. Walton – two players that have been in college four years and still have one season of eligibility remaining – will not be graduate transfers and are expected back next season" to mean they will not be graduating in the spring and thus are not eligible to be graduate transfers? Nothing wrong with taking 5 years to complete a 4 year degree. It happens to a lot of people especially if you change majors or universities, but it does limit your possibilities. In this case both Walton and Teague appear as stuck with Whitford as we fans are.

Considering the turnovers Whitford's offense produces, should we really be playing more out of control.

Terrible article. Does O’Gara ask questions? For example, Coach Whitford, how are you going to improve without a true point guard or true post player on your roster? Why do you continue to recruit tweaners and what’s up with the unbalanced roster? Do you not believe in recruiting kids with toughness and tenacity? Why are we physically the weakest team in the conference? Why do you recruit guys that cannot defend the dribble drive? Grow a pair and ask some tough questions. You would think Whitford wrote the article!

Got nothing new or substantive from that article. No real idea what whit plans to do to improve the program. Well other than hit shots.

His biggest regret is not switching up the defense to increase tempo more often? I’m just a fan so someone explain what the hell this even means? So, we needed to increase tempo because the frenetic rushes down the floor that contributed to a shitload of turnovers was not nearly enough? This kind of crap just infuriates me because it’s either a complete steaming load of crap or it’s a total cluelessness indicator, both which are bad.

He seemingly made zero adjustments all season.

He is honestly clueless. I am telling you there are over 300 high school head coaches in our state that would coach circles around this guy. He needs to spend more time going to some of our IHSAA basketball coaching seminars. He might learn something.

Considering the turnovers Whitford's offense produces, should we really be playing more out of control. A lot of those TO were due to half court play. Made because they were forcing the ball into the clogged lane. I'd rather have them running. If TO increase with pace so does the number of easier shots. With our outside shooting we needed easier shots inside.
