Some questions exist about it.
National search and you end up with an assistant? Did first choice leave with Oates, throw them in disarray? I am mlldly surprised they did not do better if it was a true national search. Did they pay him like a candidate in a national search by a top 25 program?
If not, is this a bargain Ray McCallum hire which works out for them, or a bargain Buckley hire where he will not sustain momentum? They lose a lot from the senior class.
