Seems to be a constant. Have to wonder about our S & C programs.

I hope Yo Heinz steps up in a big way this year. He has great skills. Would just like to see it on game day.

I was at the game and was pleased overall with what I saw.
Particularly with the O-Line play. I have no worries with that unit. Same I feel at RB (Huntley is a load), wide receivers or QB’s (passing accuracy was evident by both guys).
Defense hard to figure but I liked the size of some of guys. Enjoyed watching Jack Sape who I think is going to develop into a stud along with a couple other young guys in the down position or DE.
LB’s I am good with so my question mark is DB’s.
We have lots of experience coming back and that is a good thing.

If Neu want to keep his job he needs for the the defensive unit to play well. Our defense has not been playing well for years now. No defense means we would have to outscore people and even though we can be optimistic about the offense we won't have the ''Wenning'' solution. We will need a sustained effort in all facets of the game to win enough to save the staff.

Listen if we can not improve on defense alot none of it Matters. The fact is we were near the bottom of the nation in almost everything. Most of the MAC passed us by. We can blame a ton of different things but the bottom line is we have to be alot better across the board. Our schedule is tough and finding wins on it is not an easy task based on what we have seen the last couple years. We need one of the Qb's to step up and become a the guy and the Defense is going to have make an incredible leap or its going to be more of the same. I like Mike and I really want him to succeed but the cards are stacked against the cards

You cant leave it at that.. Who did you like better Paddock or Plitt Paddock! Paddock throws a nice, tight ball, and he hits his spots. Seems to get rid of the ball quicker.

One observation from Saturday - when BSU runs the play where they run a fake reverse to Riley Miller, and Miller throws the ball, it has to happen much, much quicker.
It took so long for that play to happen, I was surprised all 11 defenders were not on the receiver.
Over the past few years, our reverses and trick plays just seem to take too long to happen and we lose the element of surprise.

We’ve gotten Hall killed several times running reverses or jet sweeps that don’t jet and the defense is NEVER surprised by anything we do. We either tip off plays or we are just ‘that’ predictable.
