Looks like the AAC front office wants all member schools to refer to the "power" conferences as the "Power 6".
Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't only one of their twelve teams been a consistent nationally ranked team over the past three to four years?
How does that make them consider themselves as a "power" conference?

History shows that the more you repeat a statement and shout it at the highest possible volume, the more sheep will tend to follow your lead ... even if it has little or no basis in fact.
I assume the front office's job is to spin, and so they are.

I assume the front office's job is to spin, and so they are. When you can only hang your hat on the merits of one school, then it's embarrassing.

Wmu made a bcs bowl a few years ago, therefore the MAC is a Power 7 conference.
