Does anyone know which sections the TSIB fans will be in at Lucas? Seems like a question for your IU fans page, not this one.

To cardfan if your giving me 35 points against IU I will take the bet & I suspect I am one of many. Let me know?

Not a bet. Just an understanding of what Iu has in terms of talent and coaching and what we do not. Iu has recruited well the last few years and now has athletes everywhere. They did not have that the years we beat them. I mean, they beat us by 4 td last year and have serious talent back on offense. Our d is?

The key will be our coaches. I suspect they will try to control the clock & run a lot more than they did last yr. But past history shows both Neu & Lynch are pass happy. Combine that with Plitt's play last yr & interceptions could get IU a five td win or more.I will check with you the day before the game on probable point spread.

I have read on this board about how careless Plitt had been with the football last season and how his attitude with the pigskin will be our offense's demise. I have a different take. Last year Plitt did not have anything to lose. I think his mindset was ''Damn the ramparts I gonna show 'em what I got!'' I think this kid is coachable and I believe the Mike will drill into his head that he has to take care of the ball. He will have a pretty good offense to help him. He cannot do it all himself. Remember...He who eats the ball today, lives to throw another day. Look for a more mature Plitt to line up behind center hit some longer passes that were missed in the past that will help set up the rest of our offense. We shall overcome the mistakes of seasons past..

The key to having a coachable kid is to have a coach available to provide the coaching. That is yet to be proven.
BSU’s inability to make Riley an “all-MAC” quarterback is proof enough for me.

I certainly hope Neu has learned something about coaching QBs in the last three years

I certainly hope Neu has learned something about coaching QBs in the last three years I think we all kinda hoped he already knew about coaching QBs given his background.

If he did, it sure did not help any of our QBs in the past

I thought that was a very good preview of our team from the IU website. I see QB and DL as our most glaring weaknesses. I have a lot of reading and research to do to catch up with our team and others on our schedule, but I have to imagine we’ll be big underdogs in this one.
