My Dad favored Blatz from Milwaukee. Drank half can of Wisconsin Club one night...worst beer I ever tasted...it actually burned as it went down my throat....TERRIBLE

My worst beer experience: On a late night road trip with some buddies in a van somewhere in Northern Indiana. Ran out of beer, made a collection, and sent one guy into the only place we could find open. He comes out with a case of Black Label. Right away I had a bad feeling. "Black Label" sounded to me like something the Health Dept. put on things contaminated and unfit for human consumption. And it was terrible. We could hardly drink it....and keep in mind at the time, we were used to drinking whatever was on sale at Eavey's. Only a resolute effort of manliness enabled us to buckle down and finish that case.

Yes, I was thinking earlier Black Label deserved more attention in this thread.

Black Label was the cheap beer option at The Patio in Broad Ripple. It wasn't great but it was way better than Wisconsin Club. The worst beer I ever had was Hamm's Lite.

Ahh, but do you remember “Red, White and Blue beer”? That was the cheapest and typical only beer me and my buddies could afford when we wanted to buy a keg and have a party! On a rare occasion we had enough to buy a keg of Busch!! Out of curiosity, how much was a keg of Red, White and Blue? Now granted, that has been a looong time ago but I think it was somewhere around $45 a keg maybe?
