Ok, hear me out on this..... Tampa Bay has suck attendance for their baseball team and are considering going “halfies” with Montreal (who also had suck attendance when they had a baseball team) in a split of all their home games in a combined-city franchise that will have more support and more money to b3 competitive with the major markets. Since MAC teams also have suck attendance in their football programs and don’t have the money or talent to be competitive with other mid majors, much less the Power 5 conferences, why don’t schools “pair up” and field one team with half the home games at each venue? You could pool money and go after better coaching, save money on recruiting, get larger audiences for the three home games (each school already has an underutilized facility) of each school, merchandise the apparel of the combined school logos,.....it’s an endless marketing opportunity!!!!!
BSU/EMU combined football? Whew.....the thought of it! You risk creating a critical mass of fan disinterest that is mind-boggling, awesome and terrifying. Such a thing could...I don't know....knock the Earth off its axis, or ? ? ? ?
Do we get to beat up a cinder block wall? Then I'm in.
