That is good but anticipate a bunch of speed!
Great experience for the guys and a nice payday for the program.
I like to see 2 games every year against Power 5 schools.

Nothing like a great humiliation for a paycheck. But it’s what we have to do to cut financial losses.

I would be very happy if we can play them as close as Toledo has who in losing 3 games the worst score was 49-25.

The game at ND albeit a loss brought tremendous exposure and credibility to BSU as a program, institution and the MAC. The pay check with little travel expense wasn’t bad either!

Credibility? Come on. That’s a real stretch.

Any credibility went out the window the next Saturday.

Any credibility went out the window the next Saturday. Correct, but it still brought a lot of attention to our program. Even to the point of bowl game where their schedule and record was shown and we were right there !!!!!

ND unusual. People care. Miami no longer THAT.
This is just a money game.
If we played exceedingly well it would tarnish Miami far more than helping us, and playing well enough a bit remote anyway.
Let's cash the check, hope no injuries, move on.

www.thestarpress.com/story/sports/college/ball-state/2019/07/26/miami-hurricanes-and-ball-state-football-play-miami-2024/1835729001/Interesting payment structure: "Miami, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, will pay Ball State $1.5 million for the matchup. The payment is due no later than Feb. 15 the year following the game. If a school breaches the contract at any point it owes the other $1.5 million. However, if both schools agree, the contract may be terminated without any payment penalty.
Ball State also entered into an agreement with Purdue earlier this year. The Boilermakers will pay the Cardinals $1.2 million for that game, which will be played Aug. 30, 2025, at Purdue."Miami does not have to pay until the following February.

Miami isn't what they once were. They've been trending up until last year, but not like the powerhouse teams of the late 80s/early 90s.
I'd still be shocked if we're still competitive in the third quarter.
