If kids make school choices based on this board then I can’t help ya. If they make decisions because of any fan board then you don’t want them anyway. In no way shape or form are we on here responsible for what kids look at: facilities. Uniforms. Swag. Coaches. Win/loss record. Championships. Campus. exposure to play professionally.
Lembo at at least went to a couple bowls. Yes his program went downhill after his best assistants left and Yes he left us in a bad spot. But to deny his teams, especially his good ones, were disciplined, is blind. Especially relative to what we’ve seen from Neu’s program.
How much more time does Neu need to prove he can be successful? I keep hoping we’ll see it but in year 4 the record just doesn’t bear that out. Still hopeful we’ll see a breakthrough this season.

I think recruits are analyzing our posts for cogent reasoning and how skillfully we articulate our arguments so they may gauge the caliber of instruction they will receive at our university.
They don't care at all about coaching personalities, playing time expectations, or the prospects of winning.

If a recruit ever brought up this message board that has 301 total members as a reason he/she may not want to go to Ball State the staff had better be able to tell him we are full of shit lol. Every other coach we recruit against is saying.. Ball State? Have you seen there record lately? Not good at all, their coach has one foot out the door already. If you decide to go there your not even going to be playing for the coaches recruiting you. Oh and have you seen there facilities? Last article I read they were ranked as some of the worst facilities in all of FBS football. Yea I was looking at how many pro players they have on current rosters in the NFL I think they have one Snead or something like that. I am pretty sure he is the only one in the last 5-10 years though. They had a couple guys in the 80's or 90's but you do not remember them though.. I think they might have punters but you would not know them you were not born yet. Do you Like helmets we have about 10 different helmets we can use here.. Ball State is so poor they just change the stickers on the couple helmets they have. I bet you did not know that did ya.

You wrote a description that fits the majority of MAC teams. Sorta defines the situation for mid major FBS teams.
A recruit who thinks he is going to a MAC program with fabulous chances to develop from a player without power conference chances into an NFL prospect needs a reality check. In the MAC He will play some good competition, get early PT. He will enjoy a good college education with a scholarship. All that's a chance he won't get at a high level school as a walk on. Might be a marginal scholarship player, but better forget the NFL playing behind more talented players.
That good reason to go MAC is true at most MAC schools, not appreciably better at one or another. Here's the important difference. If he wants to not just play, but to win, and to really enjoy this level of FB, we need to win to show we are the place he can do that.
We can't hide our record and no amount of snake oil easily overcomes that.

Toledo wins because they get the best talent. Ohio wins because they are the most well coached. We get neither talent nor have the coaching acumen.

New depth chart only really shows one change.. Demetrius Murray goes from unlisted to number two safety

That's what bugs me about everyone dogging Lembo and his staff so much. At least our Lembo teams were much more disciplined, and I really haven't seen much evidence on the field that proves Neu's recruiting has truly been any better. I agree with that. Pete demanded discipline, especially on special teams. The one successful asst. coach on Lembos staff after Skrosky left was definitely Justin Lustig. Our special teams haven't been the same since he left.

Ive spent the better part of a couple hours reading up on NC State and from everything I can gather they are just not very good. They are a mediocre acc team and kind of remind me of Virginia a few years ago. Now I dont think we can we but if we play a clean game and at least attempt to cover a receiver this game could look like the IU game. Now if we play like we did against FAU we will give up 50

I was optimistic last week. I’m pessimistic this week. NC State will pass for 400 yards and 5 TDS. We will lose big. 52 - 21

Our Oline leaves me not confident at all.

NC State will come out looking to win & not overlook nor take us for granted. We are not scoring 30 points & our defense will again give up way to many points. Line play prevents us from competing with not just P5 programs but the top MAC programs.
