Also lets not forget we played pretty well at ND last year then the wheels just completely fell off. We can let that happen again

Have to disagree, few MAC teams could have stayed with NC State for the whole game like we did. Who do you consider the top of the MAC? After Northern and Toledo, I don’t see much power Maybe CMU. We have improved, cut down the mistakes and we could be a very good MAC team. Really? Few MAC teams could have stayed with them like we did? Yes, really! What is it, do you dislike Ball State, the AD, or Neu so much that it hurts to have any respect for how the Cards have played Power 5 teams?

Defense is not good enough to stop most MAC West opponents & that primarily is do to the inability for the line to put pressure on opponents. CMU currently with out 9 scholarship players do to injuries we should beat them. We might pull a surprise like last yr & beat another West team & the most likely one is WMU. We will have a tough time with Kent but Ohio & Miami do not look as good as they were thought to be. We will have a chance to win all 3 East games but could also lose all 3. If Neu wins more than 3 MAC games he will be back & less than 3 probably not. AD's call about Neu's return if we are 3-5 & overall 4-8.

What is it, do you dislike Ball State, the AD, or Neu so much that it hurts to have any respect for how the Cards have played Power 5 teams? Well no, I see how we play. I see how we find ways to lose. I see how we can’t stop any competent passing attack. Had nothing to do with any person. Well I don’t think much of Elson. I like Neu. My favorite bsu Qb. . (How’d you extrapolate any disrespect for the university or the AD? Nice reach). Being honest about how our team is doing is not a bad thing. We played well for a good part of the game last night. But we STILL came up with those handful of losing plays. We still lost. Just like vs iu snd FAU. And Nc state is not a powerhouse. Yes, the top MAC teams could beat nc state this year. They could. So to say most could not hang like we did is silly. We aren’t that level yet. Buffalo beat Temple yesterday. We’ll talk later when Toledo, Wmu. Niu emu and Ohio put big numbers on us. We have a good offense but our d cannot stop a good offense. We’re still going to make mistakes that cost us games. The evidence is in the results, not in how I might feel about anything else. And I hope to hell I am beyond wrong and get embarrassed by how good our team is. I would love that!

I'm sticking with a 4-8 prediction. I just dont see BSU doing well in their next 5 games, Im thinking maybe 1-4 although I hope I'm wrong. Since 2016 BSU has often regressed a bit in MAC play albeit yes I realize in 2017 the QB injuries were absurd and would of sunk most mediocre or bad mid majors. I fear BSU will give up 34+ often in MAC play. That said, i was way off on my 12-6 prediction for mens hoops last yr so maybe some reverse fortune can come football season.

DISCIPLINE , is the reason we have not put four quarters of good football together. It must be emphasized at every opportunity on the practice field and in meetings. If team members do not take heed, a prIce must be paid. We do not have the type of squad that can roll over other teams. We always''shoot ourselves in the foot''. In order to win games we cannot make stupid mistakes, and that takes concentration and discipline. So far, we have not demonstrated we have it and/or the coaching staff is not putting an emphasize on it.

I’m sure it’s emphasized, we just haven’t executed consistently.

Kent absolutely destroyed BG - racked up over 700 yards of offense. I thought they were our best shot at a win, but I'm not so sure now. I highly doubt we will go winless the rest of the way, just because someone will have a bad game the same night we have a good one, but the prospects of 4-5 wins seems like a huge stretch at this point. This team is extremely undisciplined, our D is horrible, special teams are bad, etc. The offense could seemingly be better than what it has been, but we shall see.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if they prove me wrong, but I don't see us hitting 4 wins.

Over this bye week period I wish they’d move Dunner back to RB. Or at least install some plays where he lines up at RB. He’s one of our more dynamic players and we’ve taken the ball almost completely out of his hands. He not going to get that much time at Wr and our running game has been weak so far. Need some burst back there. Huntley is a strong back but he’s not quick. Hard to run him to the boundaries. Fletcher could maybe be used more advantageously too. I realize the oline continues to be a big part of the problem as they just don’t create holes and too often get no push.
At any rate we need to have a more consistent run game to keep the sticks moving and keep the D off the field. Cleaning up all the execution issues is obviously a priority as well.

Talent is definitely better. They still find ways to lose by missed coverages, turnovers, etc. In part, I like that they claim they feel they are so close to turning it around. We're a 3rd of the way through the season. 'Turning the corner' in week 8 is an empty victory at this point.

When you can't beat FAU in your own place, you've got major problems.

Dunner needs to get the ball 5 times a game & the number of running back carries needs to increase by at least 10. As cardfan said we need to do all we can to keep the D off the field. Then cut the penalties & turnovers in half. Do that we win five MAC games

Do that we win five MAC games 5 is a dog minimum in my eyes, but Dunner is not "one of their guys", so I would imagine he will fade to complete irrelevance in the coming weeks. Sad.
