Rocket Round-Up • Toledo (4-2, 1-1 MAC) had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 20-7 loss at Bowling Green on Oct. 12. • The loss to BGSU was the first for Toledo in the series since 2009, a streak of nine straight games, and evened the overall series at 40-40-4. Bowling Green took home the Battle of I-75 trophy for the first time since its inception in 2011. • Toledo leads the all-time series with Ball State, 24-19-1. The Rockets won in Toledo last year, 45-13, their fifth straight win in the series. • Toledo ranks first in the MAC in rushing offense (242.7), second in total offense (457.8) and third in scoring offense (29.3). • The Rockets are first in the MAC in scoring defense (23.0) despite ranking 11th in total defense (457.8). The Rockets are second in defensive pass efficiency (127.3). • Sophomore Bryant Koback leads the MAC in rushing (114.7 yards/game) and is second in scoring (8.0). • Senior QB Guadagni leads the MAC in passing efficiency (158.8) and passing yards per completion (13.9). • Junior WR Bryce Mitchell is ninth in the nation in yards/reception (22.1). • Junior cornerback Samuel Womack is tied for the national lead with 11 pass breakups and paces the country in most passes defended per game (2.20). • Toledo is one of nine FBS teams that have had a winning record over the past nine years (83-39 record since 2010). That sucks that the series was even just 5 years ago. Time to even it up.

Well it looks like Toledo has a stable of quarterbacks... Gaudagni is the starter and redfreshman Bradley was the back up Eli peters is third string he is the qb who started against us last year and lit us up. He lost the job to the above two mentioned this year 4th string is interesting as its a guy named cross Wilkinson.. Why does this matter you ask? Well it does because he was almost a Cardinal. He chose Toledo over BSU a couple years ago. Cardfan and I were heartbroken over this one at the time. He looked like a really good prospect at the time I do not think this QB Injury is going to effect them much I was really hoping that we would be catching a bit of a break with UT having to start a QB2/QB3...but this says otherwise. Hopefully our DBs continue their hot streak and can tack on another couple of INTs this Saturday.

Maybe Neu will awaken the ghost of that 1993 comeback against Toledo, and pull a win out of his hat this Saturday?
Unfortunately, I think not, as we will put the "turd" in Saturday, with a 27-17 loss.

I am not in Vegas so I say we win 24-17 with an interception icing the game late in the fourth.

It just feels like this is setting up to be a classic BSU letdown. It has all the elements. And we’ve lost 5 straight to Ut and freaking 5 straight homecoming games. I want Cal Poly Pomona as homecoming opponent!

I want Cal Poly Pomona as homecoming opponent! Does that school still exist? Especially if it no longer exists. Easy win!

I want Cal Poly Pomona as homecoming opponent! Does that school still exist? Yes. It is a satellite campus for Cal Poly SLO (DI-AA). Cal Poly Pomona dropped to DII and got rid of football. Jim Zorn, the 1st Seattle Seahawks QB played at Cal Poly Pomona in the early '70s.

I’m not predicting laying a turd. Toledo is supposed to handle us. If they do, I don’t call that a turd. I’m hoping for a close game that gets us a chance late in the game. That would show major improvement. A win and WoW!

I'm encouraged by the competitive attitude BSU shows this year. BSU needs to become more disciplined in their play. They just need to cut down on the mistakes (penalties and turnovers) to win this game.
I hope these guys remember last year's Halloween beatdown. It was embarrassing.
