We are #27 in the country in most 3pt fg attempt. That's got as much to do with our losing as the free throws does. What are they thinking?

Well, we appear to have a worthy adversary in St Louis. They were 13-23 today to hold on to the top (bottom) spot.
They obviously aren't just going to roll over and hand us this title. We are going to have to clang those rims and clunk those backboards all season long. But we can do it! (cue Ball State fight song)

Well, well well. I somehow missed that StLouis played on Sunday and hit FT's at a reasonable percentage.
So.
This means that..
YOUR BALL STATE CARDINALS ARE BACK IN THE TOP (BOTTOM) SPOT IN THE NATION FOR FREE THROW PERCENTAGE!

Interesting observation. At the BSU/ISU game in Indy I sat just a couple seats away from former St Louis player Elliott Welmer (6'9" 220). He was a 4th year sophomore last season and is no longer with the team. He is from Columbus.

We have a new closest rival...none other than Army. They have some impressive wins on the record,....the Wehrmacht, the Confederacy, the red coats...but they have never faced anything like the backboard battering abilities of the Cards!

Apparently the Cards finished yesterday's practice with a free throw shooting drill.

I was able to accomplish that by burning a lot of weed.

I would like to see teams' effective free throw shooting percentage when front end of one and one misses are taken into consideration. That has been a huge problem with Whitford teams.

What would that formula be?
(FTmade)/(Total FT attempts + missed 1&1 front ends)
that would reflect the fact that you, in effect, missed the back end of a 1&1 by missing the front end and never getting the chance to take it.
Is that a stat people reference?
