Well, since I began the GT thread maybe I should start again!
I suspect we’ll be an 8-9 point neutral point dog.
I did not project a win at GT but said we’d give them all they wanted.....I think we gave them a bit more.
I like where we are as a team and I like that we have our full complement of players back I’m suggesting this game goes to the wire!
Go Cards!
Say I’m crazy but would not be surprised if we run the table in Hawaii

I’m afraid this one will get away from us. Not unexpected. Still all smiles over the GT win. Rougher times ahead but I like the moment. Enjoy the little pleasures as you get them. Or you never can enjoy and that’s sad.

Probably so Cardfan but when we beat Kansas and UCLA in Maui no one gave us a chance; we beat Washington we have a chance

Do not compare this team to the team that played in Maui.

Do not compare this team to the team that played in Maui. That's blasphemous.

Do not compare this team to the team that played in Maui. While I get what you're saying, it is also not fair to compare this Washington team to the Kansas or UCLA teams we played in Maui. I still don't think we win (and probably lose by between 15 and 20 points).

Washington is around # 20 in a few polls!
I think Kansas and UCLA were in the top 10!
But, point I was making is most people gave us no chance in Maui and most give us no chance in Honolulu, true?
I’m saying we’ll outperform in Honolulu and will win at least twice!
And, by the way, the outstanding Maui team didn’t do so well doing the Regular season and didn’t make the Big dance so I’d say they underperformed overall

They beat the #2 and #3 teams in the country, and hung with #1 Duke. They won the West at 12-6. They went to the semifinals of the MAC tourney. The MAC was a completely different league then - it was actually still a very good basketball conference. Went to NIT semifinals, winning some really big games along the way. The coach and the roster were both significantly better than this year. Underperformed, for sure, but that doesn't change the fact that this team cannot even begin to be compared to that team.

I don’t see where I compared other than to say no one thought we had a chance in either tournament? And the Maui team didn’t win the MAC or make the NCAA’s after Maui....underperformed!

Unfortunately I don't think we have a chance in this one. Washington by 20. I like the optimism though kid. I hope you are right.

I was just making my own observation. Yes, they did not handle the target on their back after their great start. The NIT run is still much better than anything Whitford’s teams have accomplished. But yes, we all would have taken a MAC championship and NCAA bid over the NIT. Still a good memory with a team that had some serious talent as far as MAC teams go. Enjoy Maui!
