We hear the same thing every year and it never happens.

KJ and Josh on the floor toward the end really hurt us - IMO.
More than anything else it was Washington’s exceptional length that was so disruptive.
I felt our guys played hard and smart for the most part!

I agree KJ has not given us much this year. Teams just collapse on him now

Walton will look better playing against players more his height. If he plays as many minutes as last yr he will get us 10 ppg & 5 rebs. He is coming back from an injury. He will never be an outside threat & will look worse when he can't drive like tonight.

KJ is only about 90% still playing hurt 😢
We need his scoring, rebounds and D!

Actually even hurt and only 19 minutes KJ had like 5/3 against Washington.
And Stewart had 19/10 and Teague had 20/11...guess he played pretty well Against the bigs from Washington

I believe he will be All Mac 1st team this year!

Teague has been significantly more consistent this year. Deserves praise and more trust. He can be All MAC.
His history has been one where we have reason to worry about consistency, so we do. We should not over react if he has a bad game, but I'll be surprised if he doesn't have one...very rare player who does not.

I agree KJ has not given us much this year. Teams just collapse on him now He should not have the ball in his hands except on the break, or when he has cut toward the basket and we find him, or as a release. Unless they are defending him closely which we will not often see, and maybe only when he has an extremely favorable match up and somehow is isolated with room to drive.

We needed to shoot very well to stay in this game. Had too many team lapses. Washington seemed well prepared for us, played pretty well. When we threatened held together did not wilt.
Not a black mark for us. But not our best work for sure. Did not think we were crushed or gave it up and should be too dissappointed

Very encouraged by our play over first 25-30 mins. After that we reverted to old bad habits, forced things, bad shots, turned it over, etc.
If we can bottle how we played early we got something.
Still zero bench though.

I thought we played about as well as we can play, which is good and bad.
We play this way in the MAC, we'll win a fair number of games, be competitive.
Unfortunately, IMO, this is the best it gets. Last night was an example of a good Whit-coached team and we couldn't get within 20 points of a top 25 team on a neutral floor.
This is our level ... at best.

Washington was very beatable last night, but we started being very careless with the ball with about 15 minutes to go and it was over in a hurry. Washington will get better as their freshmen continue to mature.
Teague was really solid. IMO he got screwed over by the refs. I didn't think any of his 4 fouls were legit, and he got hammered many times with no call.
I'm not sure what to make of us. At times we looked pretty decent last night, but at other times we looked awful. Most of our good play was against their zone. We won't see much zone the rest of the year. EMU plays a zone, but it's the type that will give our lack of ballhandling fits.
Why is it that we refuse to close out on three point shots? Washington wasn't known as a good 3-point shooting team, but when you leave players of that caliber wide open they are going to hit.
