This is interesting for sure. Replacing 2 coordinators in the same off season probably isn’t ideal, but strangely I don’t feel in a panic about it?

We have a great offense now. A good hire will keep us cooking. A bad one and backwards we go.

Very surprising. Lynch definitely took a step in the right direction last year. I’m not sure it will affect us much because I suspect Neu has a lot of involvement in the offense. Stan Parrish available? Lol

Cf and I were talking about this last night. Mike has a limited coaching tree so there is really not much there. He likes to promote within so that could be a guy like Kevin Lynch. We could follow Toledos recent play and offer a hot shot highschool guy with connections.. I would like A top notch fcs guy

I really hope we bring from the outside. Fresh blood, someone with new drive to produce fresh approach. Have routes & passes past the sticks. Attack! Attack! Attack! Outrun the opponents & give time for the defense gel together this year.

The recruiting angle is good longer term. Shorter term, not sure how much we want change and how much we want immediate results.
I like the up and comer fcs guy too. Have to find somebody who has similar coaching philosophy and methods to make this work next year. Can't overhaul a pretty good offense, change systems all that much.
Won't be easy, often a young guy coming up wants to join a staff where he might move with the HC to higher levels after success. And joining a HC with connections is better than gambling on someone who is relatively new to the college coaching ranks. Nobody wants to go to a program which isn't poised for success. That is not clear for us. And, Neu is in limbo a bit, which also makes the job a little risky.
