I hate to beat this dead horse anymore ...BUT...Hoke and Lembo should be sending checks to Stan Parish for recruiting Nate Davis and Keith Wenning. Where would those two be without those QBs?

I'd argue the offensive line recruiting had as much or maybe even more to do with the success. Stan could sure convince the hogs to come to BSU. Football games are won on the offensive line.

Not even close to how that all went down, but hey, why ruin someone's rant. Enlighten us. Agreed. Please do. Brady and his staff completely screwed the 2008 team at the end of the season. Several weeks of distractions led to a completely unfocused team. I knew several players on that team, and each one of them said it was awful...assistants on their phones, even recruiting, during the middle of practices.

I agree that all great teams start with great O and D lines...BUT...if you do not have a QB that can deliver, you have a major problem. The QB starts virtually EVERY offensive play and has to direct the offense to score and control the time of possession among other important functions. If you do not have a QB, you end up with a player who does nothing but hand the ball to other players to run. Davis and Wenning were two tremendous field generals and without them or QBs like them our 9, 10 and 12 win teams probably win 7. Those 7 wins would be the interior linemen doing most of the ''dirty work''. I love my ''big uglies'' pancaking the opponent and opening up holes for my running backs or giving time QBs time to find an open receiver. Football is a team sport and it is hard to give all the blame or credit to one position.

I also agree that besides having an eye for diamonds in the rough on the football field Parrish could coach an offensive football team. I really though that Parrish could have flourished in Muncie but it was not to be unfortunately for us. We own Parrish a debt of gratitude. Thanks for your efforts coach.

Great offensive coach, poor head coach!
