There's no way to say what this market really looks like because it's been crushed for 20 years under the dismal weight of Buckley, Thompson, Taylor and WhitfordΒ (who you continually make excuses for and whose extension you supported, by the way) Product does count. One factor no doubt. But there is a way to see the market is different. Open your eyes. Population, income in Muncie, program connection to local HS basketball, competition on TV, student interest in college sports nationwide, these are all objectively down. Permanently. Our marketing is probably better now with social media, internet, but there is no pot of gold there. Modest improvement is possible. But be real, improving product will require investment I don't see happening. One factor if we did, relatively modest payoff even then. We are not going back to the Future. Bullshit I've got a used flux capacitor

Beilien is not coming to the MAC. I will be amazed if Walton ever appears in another game for BSU. Unless Teague plays like a potential MAC player of the yr in the next 6 games we will not win half of them.

If he was younger, even a few years, I would strongly agree. IU has fallen from the heights but could still be a great job.
There is a question here whether after trying on the NBA which had been a dream, does he really want another coaching gig, and is he burnt out by that experience.
