We turned up the pressure and got freaking HOT. At half I felt if we got 45 in the 2nd we’d win. We got 42. Once we quit sitting back on our heels and letting emu dictate things it was game over. Whit has to get us to play that way from jump. If he can we’re really good.
Like how Teague didn’t force things. Bumbalough and Coleman were insane. Coleman really needs to tone down his act though. Refs will start looking for him.

I thought our goose was cooked with 10 min left. Great finish. Ballhandling needs to improve to not hand MAC opponents extra possessions but i will take the W.
Terrible first half but better second half for sure. I noticed Hazen played very little of at all in the second half. He had major butter fingers early in the game.
Back to back home games with Ish making a prayer 3 pointer when the game was close late.
It's a clinic on everything that is wrong with BSU men's basketball. Too many turnovers (12 at halftime), not involving your best players (Teague only 2 shots in the first half), and being killed the opposing team's Big Man (Toure 12 points in the first half). Other than that, great game to watch.
And in second half we saw some of why we support these kids. They continued to play hard, and little things that made everything suck first half were reversed.
I did not believe we could score enough against an EMU slowdown and it was looking grim at 10 minute mark, but we were playing better, so we can't ever give up on this group.
A dose of live by the 3 and die by the 3, I suppose, but we got a lot of those 3's by attacking the middle of the zone . I give Teague and Ish both some credit for not forcing it when the D was playing them very close.
It was a great game to watch for about 30 minutes. That 10 minutes closing the first half, not so great...
The Jekyll and Hyde is maddening. As long as we get Jekyll in the second half we can compete. I really liked the entry passes during our run. Sharp and gave the receiver good angles to pass out for open 3’s, or turn and shoot.
Bottom line, when we are aggressive and on the attack we’re a good team. When we are slow, passive and disinterested, well, that’s a 22 point first half and down double figures.
That was a fun game once we got past some terrible play.. Lots of Jawing between the team. I agree with CF Coleman is getting to be a little over the top but I love his confidence. It was nice to see look hit that first shot when he did I told the guy in front of me he would have a good game. He is not a great shooter but he is a streaky scorer. When he gets it going he can fill it up. We had a nice crowd today and we ended up giving the a good game hopefully some come back. There was a point when EMU was travelling on back to back possessions neither were called. I look over and pres Mearns was standing giving the refs Hell. It also felt like this game was the nail in the coffin of whit after the first half. Then we turned it around and it felt like a game that could have saved him.(not that I agree with that just how it feels)
Good call Rob. I hate to blame refs. EMU makes it hard for them. On D they are constantly moving and grabbing everyone. Helter skelter. Too easy for the Refs to miss something or fall into just watching the ball.
On offense their traveling and their their holding on screens should have been called more, maybe they lull everyone to sleep. Toure is surprisingly rugged for a tall relatively thin guy. Second half Teague pushed him out maybe a foot or 3 from where he was getting the ball first half. That was hard to do, good aggressive play by Taj, and it worked. Made passes harder, allowed us to help a little more, and his travel spin move was less effective. Even refs called him on it a few times...
