I wonder if maybe a lot of coaches technically violate these rules but nobody really cares until they need a reason to get the coach gone.
disclaimer: I know nothing but what I read here about the tennis coach, so it could be a completely different situation.

Same disclaimer here.
A lot of those individual incidents might be overlooked, or just get a warning. My guess is it added up and in addition led to complaints by players that couldn't be ignored.
Whatever department wide wellness issues existed might have made him an object lesson and made action necessary.

Yes. Or a student-athlete says something to get them canned.

I think there's a lot more to this situation than what was stated. The released info looks like the save-face version of the story to me. I'm pretty sure with public records requests BSU can omit information in employment cases.

While the local media just swallows the BSU story and then rolls over and goes back to sleep, WilliamTSherman was uncovered a video of the tennis coach driving the team van to an away match:

Now you are talking. Benny Hill was one of my all time favorites. Still is.

That's one of my all-time favorite internet videos. It's up there with "Bullet", "The French Connection" and "To Live and Die in LA" as one of the greatest car chases ever.

Well Benny Hill was a milkman and put a real strain on his milk truck with his driving. He took the name Benny to honor his favorite comic Jack Benny. Benny died in 1992. Heart failure he was sixty eight

That is some serious balls-out driving. No kidding! I loved the part where she got out and started yelling at the cops and then got back in and started driving again. I can't believe that clown car didn't roll over on some of those sharp high speed turns.

You can see how the twin tactics of tight circles to either side and random U-turns baffled the cops and had them in total disarray. You can believe if I am ever chased by a bunch of cops, they will get a steady diet of both.

I'm more of a "barricade-myself-in-my-house" kind of guy.
