Trenner was great. Klein is a hot mess. So we bring in Klein down 1 with 1 out and a man on first in the bottom of the 8th because.,.. ?? And what was with the bluff pitching hook against UK with O'donnell? My friends were asking "what the hell is he doing? That was embarrassing.

BSU out. Lose 13-5.
In 18 innings, BSU offense only effective in 6 innings.
UK and WV relief pitching 1 hits BSU. Totally shutdown.

Not an ideal performance the past 2 days, but very proud of the team for the past couple of weeks! Great season and great experience getting back into the tournament.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University says it will not host the NCAA baseball super regional this week.
TCU won against Arkansas Monday evening, leaving Indiana State the higher seed heading into the super regional - which would've allowed Terre Haute to be the host city.
In a statement on social media, the Athletic Department cited mentioned a lack of hotel space and a constrained staff as factors in not hosting. That's as the community prepares to host the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games after a busy couple of weeks for Indiana State.
"With the potential for multiple large-scale events occurring in the area simultaneously and due to NCAA limitations on hotel distance from the field, there is a lack of hotel space to handle the accommodations required to house the visiting team, the support staff for the games, and the ESPN production crew that would be in attendance.

IU (2,500) or Purdue (1,500 - 2,500) could've arranged to allow ISU to host at their fields. Fort Wayne Tincaps (8,500) were on the road and their field was available. BSU has not lights and is still limited to 1,800 seats. Fort Wayne would've had the better hotel situation. NCAA prefers a minimum 2,500 seats and lights to host a regional. For Super Regional, they want a larger venue with lights, with hotels close for more fans. Advanced scoreboard and sound systems are also desirable.

How the NCAA overlooked the hotel situation is another example of big school power.

As you know, Indiana State had to decline their first ever Super Regional because the area had no accommodations for fans and media due to hosting the Special Olympics. As of now, ISU is reporting that the TCU fans have contributed over $25,000 to Special Olympics to show their support of the unselfish Sycamore decision. Chapeau to ISU and TCU!

What a class act! There are no losers in todays game between ISU and TCU. Remember when BSU and TCU played a football game. Not so much a class act between IU and KY. The two coaches got after each other. Don't know the details.

The two coaches got after each other. Don't know the details. Kentucky cancelled the IU-Kentucky baseball scheduling. IU wanted Kentucky to play in Bloomington every other year. Kentucky refuses and cancels the deal. The NCAA wants ample housing within 30 miles of a regional venue. UK was unable to comply and offered dorm rooms. If the NCAA had stuck to their guns, the regional would've been offered to IU as the #2 seed. I do not think UK would've won a regional in Bloomington.

The IU coach also accused the KY coach of training his players to lean into pitches. Pretty lame.

The IU coach also accused the KY coach of training his players to lean into pitches. Pretty lame. UK led the NCAA in HBPs on hitters. He does tell them to armor up, crowd the plate, and don't move. Whether they lean in to pitches is up to the umpire's call.
