Indiana state has what appears to be a pretty succesful NIL collective that seems to be updated pretty regularly with a much longer list of involved athletes and several corporate donors

It would be interesting to know what amount of NIL Indiana State Men's Basketball has to work with and how it compares to BSU's. Not sure how much money they have for basketball, but I can tell they are far more aggressive about advertising their collective and soliciting funds. I don't think we see ours (we DO Have one, right? advertised or "pushed" anywhere. ISU has billboards, a twitter page, a web donation page, etc. and they post pictures of players who've gotten funds and a blurb by the player about how important signing up for the collective is. I have no clue what the BSU collective is doing, if anything. Our advertising would go like this: Here is player X we paid him $X in NIL for the 2023 season. He sat out the whole season with an injury. Now he's in the transfer portal. Thank you for your donation! That feeling that you are doing your part to help kind of warms your heart doesn't it?

And on top of that, his next school is going to pay him 10 times what we gave him!!

Maybe there is a chicken and egg type of situation going on here.
Can't be successful without the NIL
Can't get NIL going because the program has been a mismanaged, emasculated, low-expectation, excuse-culture pile of dog shit for over two decades.

For last year's game vs. Illinois State, I got courtside seats for $174 each for both games (Purdue v. Davidson). Since Arizona is coming to town to play Purdue, I couldn't touch the same seats for less than $450 each in September. Now they are over $1,000 each. I have to go go up pretty high in the stands for $174. While $174 was worth courtside, it ain't worth being in the rafters.. Games are sold out on Tickemaster. Stubhub has SkyBox standing room only seats for $85.
