I don't know how many of you ever looked at the Individual Career History stats on the official web page: link I have referred to it often over the years. It is a treasure trove of information. It's good for giving perspective on the current situation, understanding patterns of player development, and sometimes it's just fun for a stats junkie to look at things like Ed Butler's rebounding Ed Butler I notice that this historical section has not been updated since the results of the 2020-21 season. It used to be updated promptly every year. The stats for the current season are up in their own place, but these are in a format shared by other teams, so I assume it is the work of some outside vendor. In my view, this failure to keep the website updated is just indicative of the low expectations and general slackness of the program....which manifests itself in a lot of ways, big and small. FYI - it seems the links are not working as normal. You can go to: men's basketball>stats>All-Time Letterwinners Statistics>Career Historical

I was a student at Ball State from 1959-63 and watched Ed Butler build that incredible rebound record in the old Ball Gym. As a side note I knew his sister Grace who was arguably one of the most popular co-eds on campus.

Agreed. That is pathetic.

Maybe this is the problem: "It's good for giving perspective on the current situation"
Maybe that was seen as a bug rather than a feature.

Mitchell is having to rebuild the department on the cheap and that means hiring kids who don’t know what the eff they’re doing. Communications is a hot mess. Minor league operation right now.

Not a good thing and it will eventually mean scrimping on coaching hires. UNLESS he is a hell of a fund raiser or finds a sugar daddy for a sport.

Well, money is tight. It's not like there is $10 million to throw away every year or something.

I heard a Deputy AD left for University Washington. The revolving door continues.

Our problem with low salaries isn't just making good hires, it's keeping them.
This is par for the course in the MAC, only a little worse here.

The Athletic Department has always needed help on the small things and details. Someone should tell the AD that BSU is full of talented media students who would love the experience of keeping a D1 website fresh and updated. And you wouldn't have to pay them!

Someone should tell the AD that BSU is full of talented media students who would love the experience of keeping a D1 website fresh and updated. And you wouldn't have to pay them! If you look at college athletics websites you'll notice that they are all a template made by one or two companies. Exactly the same other than the specifics. People with talent in that area don't want to work with a template website. They are designed for people with no talent. They are frustrating to work with because they are so limiting. That doesn't mean you couldn't find a student to do it, if they don't already. Just because they are students doesn't mean they don't want to get paid.

The template part is working fine. It's the "career historical" part that was created several years ago, possibly by BSU people, that they just stopped updating.
Makes them look like a Mickey Mouse operation.

I do feel the template sites work well. I like how they link with the other schools sites.
Now the online audio live stream of the radio broadcast of the game, that is a Mickey Mouse product. Not the announcers but the actual stream. Did anyone else listen to that mess last night? Online, not radio. Radio seemed to be fine.
