I agree the first point of order is run a clean program, graduate players and win.

Head Coaches have a lot of priorities and when you are trying to rebuild a program I'd put working with the rest of the Department on communication, and getting fans engaged again as pretty high on the list.

Yea he really has not done a lot to engage the community but the players seem to like him. Ive interacted with him a few times and he has always been polite but not necessarily friendly.

Yes, that's a good description. Just not warm and fuzzy.
He is professional and really down to business. He has done community events, is doing a little more than it seems, and he isn't at all bad on with the media or on TV and radio, but he can improve on the communication front without being all that warm or trying to be slick or promoting himself. As it is some of the media we have had for the basketball has really been first rate.
He doesn't have to do a lot, I like the suggestion of just a little more communication with fans, maybe not as much as Lembo's newsletters, but maybe more often a pregame message, or post game comments on an email list or via social media. It could be as simple as just making the things he does more easily available and linking to them some way.
Content doesn't have to be all that special, just what he's probably told the media. With the coverage we get, we never hear most of that!

Im not all saying he needs to take pom poms and dance in front of CLancys Car Wash. Just some little things to get himself and the team out there a bit more. The way it stands right now only people who live BSU know anything about him or the team.

Why didn't he do something in conjunction with the CVC and leverage last seasons positives into some fund raising ?

A necessary moveSandy is right. But if I were going to do it, I'd have paid him more, something like what we want to pay a coach with the next hire. Duoh!

Unbelievable. Zero MAC tourney wins and gets an extension. You can't have less than zero.
Is it just not possible for AD's to learn from their predecessors' mistakes? Unbelievable.
Anyways, it makes a very clear statement as to what our standards of excellence are. I may be biased, so I'll leave it to the group to decide which old post held up better.
