A new picture from this morning:
If that is the finished size, it's certainly out of scale relative to the volume of the space.

The new scoreboards in the corners also look much improved.

A new picture from this morning:
If that is the finished size, it's certainly out of scale relative to the volume of the space. They weren't going to get/afford a Banker's Life Fieldhouse-sized video board. Worthen is cavernous and pretty much anything short of that is going to look small in pictures. The real test will be once you get inside the stadium and are seated somewhere, will looking up at the board feel like sitting in your living room looking at a 70" TV or a 27" TV.

Looks even better in person. I had a feeling that would be the case as the photos would not do justice to the live experience!

A new picture from this morning:
If that is the finished size, it's certainly out of scale relative to the volume of the space. It's relative to the number of people who will be in attendance.

They could have just hung 4 iPods up there to make it the size proportional to attendance.

For those of you in attendance last night, how did the new scoreboards look?

Personally, I think it looks great. Didn't set too high up, but from where I was it looks like a very nice improvement. Pictures absolutely do not do it justice.

It is far superior to most I have seen in arenas. Definitely better than any I've seen in a MAC arena. I haven't been to a game in Bowling Green's new arena yet. Mark Sandy said in the paper this morning that they are planning to change the lighting in Worthen Arena to LED for next season, which will allow them to turn off the lights for player intros, and then replace the seating in the lower sections for the 2017-2018 season.

Was there a video board? I must have missed it while watching the game. The close ups of the Code Red Dancers was too exciting for an old man.
