I had heard there were guys who just wanted it over with. Then they went on the win streak. But then a frontline pitcher got hurt. I don't think they have enough left to compete in the tourney. I agree, and although we did not kick ass this year, I was optimistic most of the season.

We did win 9-3 today and took 2 of 3 from the Chips. Had a sweep in our hands if we'd held on yesterday. Not sure where that puts us in the seeding. Really need the pitchers to dig deep in the tourney but I just don't think we can win a long tournament.

Man this forum is blind. This offense is terrible. Same lineup for 4 years will do that. The starters care about one thing, their stats. They haven't had to worry about what they do on the field (especially the seniors) since the first day.Because they knew they were always going to start the next game. Our philosophy is 3 run homers. The problem is we only got one guy that can do that.If this team wins more then 1 out of the next 5 it will be a miracle. Its officially a miracle now. Granted its a shame BSU didn't close down game 2 vs CMU to get the sweep.

Since there was not a head to head series this year I'm not sure how that will be determined.

We're a 4 seed and open against Ohio (who beat us 3 straight). If we win, we play Kent.

[br Two years in a row that our big dog pitcher goes down. Bad pitching mechanics a contributor? Do we need a new pitching coach? We don't seem to have more than one pitcher. Are other guys not being developed? Hitting is nice, but pitching carries you thru 3-game series and tournaments.

I think the key is always pitching & defense. The biggest problem I felt for the past month was the walks. Second were fielding errors.
I am wondering if Buffalo has any players we can pick up for next year although I must say Kent will probably have an edge their just do to location.
Also am I the only one thinking Coach Maloney might make a move with Alex gone to a warmer climate to coach.
