Statistically, Cards and Bobcats are close for the season in overall batting, pitching, fielding. Cards hold a slight edge in conference batting and Ohio has a large conference pitching advantage.
Sean Kennedy ended the conference season as the leading hitter (.404) with Eppers third at .387
We are in the 8:00 pm game, on Wednesday, which can be seen on ESPN3

Nice attempt at the "reverse psychology" approach. Me thinks bad pitching will trump the voodoo science that works so well for Cardfan in football and basketball. |

We had a great second half in MAC play, but we just don't play well in the tourney. We might win one game. Maybe.

We probably just don't have the horses.
Sure, hot bats might win a game, a pitcher finding it all and carrying us might win a game. But, you need a string of games, and need more than one good pitcher.
The optimist says we pull it together and play well. Next game, maybe we find a great pitching game unexpectedly or have big bats. But, we will definitely not have much margin for error, if you are error prone, you are prey to giving up those big innings even with your ace on the mound and having built a nice lead.

Walks, errors and hitting batters with pitches has been a bugaboo. Cannot have that in the tourney

That way, you'll have money left for Taco Bell.....just don't go to the Speedway Taco Bell 🔔 , unless you're packin'....and don't take Bane with you because he has a brighter future than all of us. |
