Jeremy was recalled today & was 0/2 tonight. He was recalled today after Arizona added a 3rd regular outfielder to the DL also the 2nd in two days. The 2 recent additions to the DL are on 10 day lists. So he is going to have to hit to even possibly stay with them. The 2 players they had brought up since he went down Blanco is hitting .254 with 1 HR & 4 rbis & Fuentes has an rbi while hitting .188. Hazelbaker hit 5 hrs with 15 rbis while batting .329 at Reno. He only got 85 abs there in 22 games.

Pinch hitting is a very difficult job. Hard to establish any feeling.

It is going to be very hard for Jeremy to hit well enough this week to be still with the Dbacks in a week.( I think at least 1 OF comes off the DL by then) I have been surprised he has not gotten a start which makes me believe they consider both Blanco & Fuentes as better players. That means he will probably only get another 5 or 6 at bats. Maybe a homer will change things as neither Blanco or Fuentes have any power. I will say both Blanco & Funtes hit better last week than they had previously.

Fuentes has had a pretty strong stint with Reno (.376) and is only 26.

I think Fuentes age compared to Jeremy's works to his advantage. I thought after 30 days with Dbacks Fuentes hitting .188 would lead to him being sent down which did not happen. Hazelbaker was only called up do to all of the players on the DL & in my opinion is being totally ignored there. I hope he can get picked up by somebody else & that team is in the AL

Organization prospects will always be preferred over guys like Hazelbaker, right or wrong.

So what is up with Jeremy tonight 2nd night in a row he does not play as they win 2-1. However the Dbcks starting outfield in rf is a ss Chris Owings ,CF Blnco & LF a catcher Chris Herrmann. They have 4 listed outfielders on current roster Peralta was the DH & Fuentes came on in the 8th in cf & Herrmann was taken out. Is Jeremy injured & unable to play in the field?

Hazelbaker finally gets a start in lf goes 2 for 5. Average at .324 leading team batting average. However the 2 players he is fighting for to remain on roster with Fuentes hit the game winning home run & Blanco also went 2 for five. Fuentes has raised his average to .227 & Blanco has raised his to .273 since Jeremy came up. The Dbacks have won 8 straight.

Jeremy returned to the Dbacks after Reno was eliminated in the playoffs. He got in the game on the 11th as a pinch runner. He did not play in the loss last night. He had missed 30 days do to an injury & came back to Reno on Labor Day weekend. His minor league average was .280. He is hitting .318 @ Arizona.
