Yep and whether we like them or not our design team has been giving these kids what they want. There are websites devoted to college uniforms and if you "drop the fire" these pics are recirculated thousands of times. Free Branding Isn't dropping the fire what happens when you drink the water in Mexico?

When you have to spell out the name of your school, your telling the world nobody knows your logo, and that you are worthy of DI-FCS or DII. Keep using the logo only, maybe player numbers, but sell the brand. This made me curious so I went to the helmet project at nationalchamps.com. The only two FCS schools I found that have their full name on the helmet at Albany, which has UALBANY, and Stetson, which just has Stetson. Both of them I think look stupid, and Stetson is totally missing out on a opportunity to do something cool with their helmets, since they are the "Hatters." I didn't see a single DII school with their name on the helmet. In D-I Tulsa does it, Ohio does it, Southern Mississippi has "Southern Miss" University of Nevada - Las Vegas has "UNLV". In reviewing the helmets from FBS, FCS, and D-II. I did note that FBS more than anyone else uses one letter or some basic abbreviation of the school name. Maybe we should replace the block letters "Ball State" with a fancy "B" design. I would also note that most of the logo's on the D-II helmets I had never seen before and wouldn't have a clue who the school was. Most have gone away from it in the past few seasons for that reason. Also, the other common design on FCS helmets is to take the initials of the school, and place the mascot head on top of the letters. NIU had this design for several years, and dropped it because it did look like a FCS program.

I think having "Ball state" on both sides would look pretty cool. When you have to spell out the name of your school, your telling the world nobody knows your logo, and that you are worthy of DI-FCS or DII. Keep using the logo only, maybe player numbers, but sell the brand. So THAT'S why Pitt, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Cal, UCLA, and Ohio do it! Gotcha, nobody knows who those schools are.

And I like some of those D-II helmets better than most D-I helmets. UTPB (whoever the freak that is) has a pretty awesome helmet, in my asshole (I mean opinion).

We aren't a commonly used acronym or abbreviation, as I mentioned before. Big difference. Only exception in your list is Southern Miss, and it's an ugly helmet. Now you got me?

When I made my list I didn't include Pitt, Ole Miss, Cal, or UCLA, because each of those schools have the name basically as the primary logo. I have no idea what Southern Miss' primary logo is. I like Ohio's helmets.

I just noticed North Texas also uses "North Texas" sometimes. It's hard to keep track of now because so many schools have so many different designs. Edit: and Illinois

I thought your point was spelling the name was something you wouldn't do unless nobody knew your logo.

Doesn't matter what we think. It's the players and recruits who dig all the new stuff.
