I also don't completely blame Brown for his actions, given his quarterback, who is so immediately ready to blame everyone in his vicinity BUT himself whenever anything goes wrong. Big Ben is likely to be just as toxic to a locker room as Brown, but QB's are darlings and thus never get called to the carpet on their shit.
Maybe Brown is simply fed up dealing with a fat, lazy, running-out-of-talent QB who's never taken responsibility for their actions. Who knows the kind of person he'd be under a different coach, QB, and organization.

He seems to have an increasing amount of drama off the field (with women, and with driving really, REALLY fast), and that is not the Colts M.O.
I'd give it a 5% chance.

He's burning bridges by his actions, not making it very attractive to a team that wanted to give him a chance. Costly in the future. If he gets a chance it, he'll be under a microscope. Not much room for error.

3rd and 5th from the Raiders got AB. I am actually a bit shocked the Steelers traded him for that, if I'm honest.

I don't follow the situation closely enough to really judge how likely the Steelers are to deal. But I've seen it said that Brown can be had for a 2nd round pick. the Colts have two of those. They would want the one which is a very high one, almost a 1st. Raiders got Brown for a 3rd and 5th. Those particular picks, by the draft pick valuation charts, equate to the 61st pick....the fourth to last pick of the 2nd round. You ever notice how some people just have a compulsion to run their mouths and pose as an expert? Even when they have no idea what they are talking about? A much better course of action would be to STFU.

I'm sure the pre-season games are incredibly useful for preparation for the season but they are just boring as shit.

I'm sure the pre-season games are incredibly useful for preparation for the season but they are just boring as shit. Unwatchable. To have to pay for those as part of a season ticket package is robbery. Then again, so are $12 beers and $8 weenies.

I hope the Colts take a serious look at Antonio Brown. Obviously it would be a move with some risks, but the upside is humongous. Imagine Hilton and Brown lining up on either side of Luck. The upside is that the Colts go immediately to the very short list (like maybe three teams) as the super bowl favorite. That's worth a certain amount of risk, you know. Luck is no longer that young anymore. Windows close and then you can sometimes be looking at 20+ years with zero super bowl hopes. That's a pretty serious risk in itself. Of course I would want Reich and/or Ballard to interview Brown and get a feel for his mindset. Maybe also Luck? ( they could speak to him in the following order: first Ballard, second Luck and Third Reich) But you don't need Brown to be a team leader and NFL Man of the Year....you simply need him to STFU and do his business. He might do that. Think back to Randy Moss at Oakland in 2006. 553 yards and 3 TD's. He was widely regarded as a total locker room cancer. He was starting to accumulate some injury issues. And he was saying things like " Maybe because I'm unhappy and I'm not too much excited about what's going on, so, my concentration and focus level tend to go down sometimes when I'm in a bad mood" Who wants whiney babies that say things like that to the media? Well, as it turns out, Bill Belichick wanted him. It only took a 4th round pick to out bid the rest of the league...that's the best measure of Moss's reputation at the time. In 2007 Moss had 1493 yards and 23 TD's and was utterly uncoverable. Ok, I've changed my mind about Antonio Brown. It seems that the likelihood that he would STFU and do his business are effectively zero, because he is as stupid as dirt.

A pre-season without an Andrew Luck injury worry would be nice.

A pre-season without an Andrew Luck injury worry would be nice. Well, it's a moving injury. Calf, ankle...soft tissue, bone...same thing.

I'd love to see the results of some sort of cognitive test of Jim Irsay. I really suspect the guy is well below the normal range

One factor I haven't seen discussed regarding Andrew Luck's off-season injury is that his wife is an ex college gymnast.

My guess is he did something stupid that violated the terms of his contract (like gymnastics, or at least an attempt at them), and he's either not being truthful to the Colts or they just don't want it becoming public knowledge because they so desperately need him and would never even think about cutting him.
Otherwise, I've just accepted this for what it is. He's a rambunctious nerd with bizarre interests that lead to him taking unnecessary risks that endanger his body. I just hope the Colts can get 7-8 more years out of him, but that might be pushing it. His body might completely break down before then.
