My guess is he did something stupid that violated the terms of his contract (like gymnastics, or at least an attempt at them), and he's either not being truthful to the Colts or they just don't want it becoming public knowledge because they so desperately need him and would never even think about cutting him. Otherwise, I've just accepted this for what it is. He's a rambunctious nerd with bizarre interests that lead to him taking unnecessary risks that endanger his body. I just hope the Colts can get 7-8 more years out of him, but that might be pushing it. His body might completely break down before then. He may have gotten the injury doing a dismount from his wife. |

If the Colts aren't careful, some fans are going to start suing for fraud.
Dangling Luck out there, insinuating he'll play, so they can sell season tickets, is a dangerous game in this litigious society. They did that a few years ago with his shoulder injury, and ticket holders were pissed.

They seem aware of that, spinning this as different.
I'll buy not playing him a game or two if dangerous,just be transparent. Don't sell Super Bowl and all is well

I feel like the bulk of the blame can be laid directly at Ryan Grigson's feet for this one. Dude spent the first 6 years of his career getting utterly annihilated behind a swiss cheese offensive line and that beating apparently took a huge toll on Luck not just physically, but mentally too.

I can kinda understand Lucks reasoning. He’s been beat to hell. On the other hand this current injury doesn’t seem like a deal breaker. I don’t know what he feels like, what the pain is like, but it looked like he was starting to get better and then he just quits. Left the organization in a helluva tough place.
I’ll say this about Ballard, he was empathetic but then quickly moved on and didn’t give a shit. He’s moving on and expects to keep winning and will imprint that mindset on the whole organization.

I expect a qb controversy by Halloween. Brissett is a bottom 5 starting nfl qb.
If the rest of the roster is really as good as people say, the colts are probably in that dreaded rut of not having a hope of a super bowl and not getting a high enough draft pick for a new franchise QB.
