I see and hear a lot of ignorant comments today about curling. It's not a real sport, it's easy, it doesn't take any real athleticism, etc. Since I became a big curling fan yesterday, I am disgusted with this talk. The curling athletes are actually some of the most high quality athletes in the world. Like my new favorite athlete, Anatasia, who is about as high quality as can possibly be imagined.

Wait a minute, the General usually expects his favorites to be bearded and quite bulky and well muscled.
As much as I admire athletes who are lithe and agile, and there is no doubt about the intelligence and the intensity and fire in this fine sport, I am thinking this is a departure for the General.
Perhaps a case where he appreciates the grace and quickness in a sport based on calculation, anticipation and not just macho brute force.
