I have great memories with the Canadian women, and I still want to be their friend, but Anastasia has my heart now

The quote of the entire Vancouver games, "Curling is a cruel, cruel 'sport'..."

And what the hell is up with Johnny Weir(d)'s hair?
It's like Loki and '70s Elvis had a love child, and that child is hosting the Hunger Games...

In my opinion, there has been way too much men's figure skating on TV so far. Sure, show some of it, but it seems like it's been on as much as everything else combined. I know women's figure skating has always been regarded as a huge TV asset for the winter Olympics because, unlike most sports, it strongly attracts women viewers. Is the same true for men's figure skating? No doubt it's big with the gays.... but women? I don't know.
I think it would be good to interspace all this men's figure skating with more of something that a little more vigorous and manly, just for variety's sake, like say that sport where they ski and shoot rifles...or hockey....even women's hockey.

Just an Olympic Observation:
Did the South Koreans forget that they could sell spectator tickets to the general public?

The sport where they ski and shoot rifles is called Biathlon. Enjoy it while you can. I think by next Olympics it will be replaced by modern biathlon - where contestants ski and have to shoot a selfie every 5 minutes and make at least five tweets about something they saw or heard that hurts their feelings while on the course.

In the words of Calculon, "I'm not familiar with the... thing... I'm seeing."

Watching Nordic Combined. Ski jumping off a large hill followed by cross country skiing.
Is this from an old Nordic hunting custom where they have tried to kill a bear, missed, and then fled for their lives?

Is this from an old Nordic hunting custom where they have tried to kill a bear, missed, and then fled for their lives? More like the ancient version of Xtreme sports where skiers crazed by cabin fever fled the confines of their cabins and sought thrills on skis.

just saw this headline:
Jamaican bobsled coach quits Olympic team, may take sled
Really odd...he seemed like such a cool guy.
