That is just 20-20 hindsight.
That is saying good decisions can't go wrong and bad decisions are good as long as you are lucky and they work out.
And that you never make decisions with uncertain consequences.
That's not real life.

The only Nostradamus type of person I know is the kid. every Recruit might end being a risk there is no way to tell. Just have to hope we vet them the best we can

You have no idea why I might think that's the case? Maybe because the roster is down FOUR players? One or two is bad luck....not four.
It's OK if some members of the apologist fanbase have smoke blown up their backside about some recruits by advocates of those recruits. It's not OK if the coaching staff distributes scholarships on that basis. Roster's down 3-kind of a dick move to say otherwise (oh yeah, you "felt nothing"). I have to agree with you though that the losses of those three ultimately fall on the leadership of the team. However, a reasonable person would listen to your latest goings on and assume that you are pissed because the loss of the bench will affect their potential championship run. But you've never said such. You've never actually openly expressed the possibility that this team were potential champions. But, I actually think you had hope! Because you can't have it both ways-say all his recruits suck and then get mad when some of those sucky recruits aren't going to play. Your argument would just simply be: it wouldn't matter anyway-his recruits suck and he sucks. But that's not your angle here. Caught you looking. Anyway, BSU is 3-2 against the higher seeds and swept the #2 seed, so you should have hope.

The lack of the two guards did not become an excuse until we choked away 3 straight. In fact, I am calling out our coaches competence as if it were not for the loss of the 2 guards, we probably don’t see Teague and Moses playing together. Regardless, we sucked ass the last 3 games and that is on the coaches. We did not look prepared and we looked tentative the last 2 minutes of the Northern game. Inexcusable this time of year.

I should not speak for anyone else but Im going to. Hope, of course we/me/she all had hope. We have hope every year but every year that hope fades quickly as we watch games and realize we are still not there. This year was a bit different we had Notre Dame then Valpo back to back that spiked our hope and gave us feelings we had not had in decades. Then we had games that knocked us back to reality followed by another stretch ending with a dismantling of Toledo that once again had us feeling good. Now we limp into the tourney through the back door and hope is the only thing we are left with.
Hope sucks I have been hoping for something good for about 20 years. When are we going to piss on hope and get something done?

Maybe we overachieved in the six games a little, maybe we sucked it up and had focus and had most everyone play well.
But depth issues kill you where you can't adjust when something goes South. And when one player like Persons or Moses is so key to winning. No plan B then if no depth.
The team that went to ND and won and the team that played pretty well for 6 games can be a tough out. We have a reprieve from a play in game, had a day off today, should be prepared and we do have decent draw in round 1.
Buffalo is probably too tough, but there's a game where a win would be so big. Win that and it's hard to fault these guys. I think it's unlikely but that's why we play the games. Not a good bet but anything can happen.

Star Press Reporter: Coach are you concerned about losing three in row heading into the tournament? Whitford: I like where we are heading into the tournament. It’s a three game season now and we were leading two of the last three games in the final minutes.
Huh? You like where we are? We blew a sure win in the finale. We got waylayed by 24 the previous game. We lost our last two road games. The two opponents were 5-12 and 5-11. We lost our home finale after leading at the last timeout. We shot 12-24 from the FT line in the last game. We’ve started to bleed turnovers again. Our bench is two freshmen and a walk on. We’ve lost three in a row.
Yep. Looking good. 🤯

Yeah when I read that i thought it explained a lot. Show me a coach who likes where a team is during a 3 game losing steak Against bad teams while heading into the tourney and I’ll show you a coach and a team that has no issue with losing. And is ok with poor fundamentals and play. And ok with maybe being ready to play, or maybe not. Not too high not too low. If we lose, whatever.
Hunsaker used to lose his mind after WINs if we played like crap. Whitford is a: thinking maybe a good thing we lost to wmu, and b: happy where we’re at during a losing streak. It’s obvious which coach got winning done and which one is done winning.

He really needs to go back to being an assistant somewhere. It's obvious to everyone except the people in our athletic department that he doesn't have the personality or mindset to be a head coach.

"It’s obvious which coach got winning done and which one is done winning." Did you make this up or read it on someone's FB page?

The only Nostradamus type of person I know is the kid. every Recruit might end being a risk there is no way to tell. Just have to hope we vet them the best we can Not to pick a fight with the kid but has he ever accurately called an 8 game win streak that included a top 10 ranked team? I'm the seer of seers; prognosticator of prognosticators.
