Cards scored a touchdown in the 6th to go up 12-11. The fans are definitely getting their money's worth today!
Wait. Baseball games are free at Ball State.

A dramatic finish to the doubleheader. It's definitely important to finish series with a W Sunday given where the Cards sit in the MAC West.

WTF...How in holy hell do hit 15 batters in one game? I don't care if you play 25 innings.

I realize it was both teams but COME ON. FIFTEEN BATTERS? When I was an undergrad for two summers I ran a playground league for the city for 8-9 year old boys. I never remember more than one hit batter in any game. Maybe two, one time. In fact it was rare that a batter was hit by a pitch. When I lived in a suburb of Detroit I attended Ball State baseball games at U of M and Eastern Michigan. I was surprised by the lack of decent pitching when witnessing those contests. It was not uncommon for a single team to go through 6-8 pitchers in a game. The number of free passes issued was appalling. I am no college pitching expert but there are plenty of high school pitcher that can throw strikes. Do I dare suggest we look for a few? (For the record, I remember when we had the two hurlers picked in the first round of the baseball draft including the number one pick.)

I think we are probably being aggressive to own the inside strike zone. We are 3rd in total HBP in the MAC. Miami is 1st. Notice the drop off from the top three: 1. Miami............... 46 2. Central Michigan.... 45 3. Ball State.......... 44 4. Toledo.............. 32 5. Ohio................ 30 Eastern Michigan.... 30 7. Northern Illinois... 27 8. Western Michigan.... 24 9. Kent State.......... 19 10.Bowling Green....... 18
