So, even if we get better, the other teams that were already better, will still be better than us.

Yeh, I just cannot understand why we want to worry about hurry-up offense when we really need to go as slowly as possible.

While i like the idea too that we keep the clock rolling, a hurry up offense still has some value in preventing substitutions if in fact we are grinding it out and moving the ball. Also, presumably a large part of our offense will involve using the backs as receivers, maybe even some RPO with Riley, so we may not want to make it easy to sub on passing downs. If we have the superior depth on offense it is still a good idea. If we are stuck dragging the clock out and NOT moving the chains, I don't think using up extra time on the 3 plays will help that much.

Off the same USA Today rankings:
16. Notre Dame 67. Indiana 89. WKU
Not sure what Central Connecticut looks like this year. They were 8-4 last year. They’re big boy game was against Syracuse and lost 50-7.
It will be interesting to see once fall camp starts if the summer has been fruitful for Riley to gel with the receivers & backs.

I was going to post an interesting tweet thread but it was a lot of x's and o's and I figured it would bore most of you and end up looking like a drunk oomh posting.. So I will be brief and recap it for you guys.. Did you know we use a very unorthodox running scheme as much as anyone in the nation and our run game is very hard to prepare for.. It basically boils down to how block certain plays and essentially makes us having an immediate cutback.. Lets say this way for simplicity our back would usually hit hole A out of a certain set but as we block it we set up an immediate cut back lane that pops those long runs we see pretty often.. Who knew we were setting a trend but we I guess we are

I sort of like rmc's idea of getting drunk before posting on the football board.

I sort of like rmc's idea of getting drunk before posting on the football board. Hahahahahahah I wish the time postings were made would be shown... I like a night cap or two after the kids go to bed. This usually happens about 10-11:30. If I post after midnight odds are those 2 night caps have multiplied.

Now if we could figure out a trend setting passing game we could be rolling

Hank must have a ways to go considering he is planted behind Plitt. That could very well change in fall camp once Hank the Tank is acclimated and comfortable with the offense.

Being planted behind Plitt with our plurality of players plying for that place is not a plus. At least Plitt has showed pluck and hasn't plunged down the depth chart.
