He was a walk on but some people look at school or conference and assume “stud!” Not a bad player but probably not a Mac level starter. Not in a pass heavy offense at least.

Here are my thoughts on the Current QB situation..
There has been some Buzz arounf true freshman Paddock.. Ive heard he looks really good
With that being said I think if Riley is injured Plitt becomes short term back up or gets us to the point where Paddock can play the last four games and still redshirt.
If Riley stinks or we are out of contention for everything. You get Paddock meaningful snaps in the last 4 games.
What I do not think will happen is that you see Paddock in anything more than four games.. You have to save the redshirt

I agree with some of the sentiments already stated. I’m excited about the new LB’s that jumped up the depth chart. I’m not thrilled to see the same WR, except for Hall of course, or the same DB’s. They better have made significant improvement for me to feel OK about those positions. Hopefully Yo Heinz and maybe one of the other young WR’s impress and make their way onto 1st team.
Of course I am always more excited to see the new players, but that might not always mean improvement, so for now at least I trust Neu’s judgement on the depth chart.

Your going to relly like Hasaan Littles at WR.. I think you will see he and Hall in the game at the same time. They both have some crazy open field moves

like I said this why we might be seeing the depth chart the way it it. Small shift guys who can make plays vs bigger outside guys.

Did Gilbert get a medical redshirt as well? Imagine what next year could be if these guys just develop. Shoot I'm already talking about next year.

Biggest surprise to me is Lorenzo Holmes!
Maybe it speaks to our DB’s really stepping up and noticeable improvement.
I suspect we will be seeing Holmes on special teams regularly if not in a significant back up role.
Any word on what happened to our highly touted JUCO O - lineman that left the team during the Fall camp?

By my count, this chart has us starting six seniors - counting Hagee.
I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.

He and Newton were the biggest surprises for me as well both spot starters as true fresh and now completely off the chart. With the exception of Uzondinma and Keyon Williams all the names on the chart were people they had beat out last year. They must not have progressed at all during the off season. The new names at Lb do not surprise me as our Lb's for as long as I can remember have been pretty blah.. Some were great tacklers and put up great tackle numbers but they have not been athletic or difference makers.. I think this new group will bring speed and be more a disruptive unit

We knew then how bad it was getting and here we are 3 or 4 years later and we are still paying the price. Its a good thing he left cause another couple years of that would have a created a hole we could never get out of. Im not sure we can get out of he current one but at least there is hope.
