you wouldn’t send the assistants out recruiting just to fire them a few weeks later But you also wouldn’t fire them until after signing day and would have them keep recruiting in the mean time. disagree, that’s also a dirty way to do recruits

Firing coaches after signing day happens all the time especially assistants. Recruiting is a dirty dirty game especially in football.. One time a player told me he talked to Lembo everyday for a month leading up to signing day. After signing day Lembo never spoke to him again until midway through his sophomore year.. All the coaches want is your name on the dotted line. After that you are a body

Riley makes one read and then gets happy feet and wants to run. The staff wants a pocket passer that runs after all the reads are covered. Neu and Riley could never Mesh and Riley could never become a pocket passer But how much of that is a result of not getting the right/good coaching to help him mature and develop as a QB? I don't know but I think you have to ask that question? I guess if Neal goes somewhere and develops and as a successful year then maybe this question gets answered.

Oh I am sure that may have something to do with it.. How many players have we really seen get better on the offensive side? I have noticed some individual improvement from some defensive players I do think this was mostly trying to shove a square peg in a round hole though. As already mentioned Riley needs something where the offense is suited to his run first mentality.. He has always been a run first guy

Overall you could say this staff fails to develop players. Too many guys are at the same level OR LESS than they were 2-3 years ago. Riley Miller has gotten better but who else really has? How many players who were freshmen last year who were highly touted recruits have played much or have even gotten on the field? How many players who played a bunch as freshmen last year never saw the field or played limited roles this year?
It’s like the staff is just guessing.

If Neal couldn't be developed by a someone who held the position as QB Coach in the NFL, then we have problems.

You have to wonder if Neal's dad's recent issues have had an impact. Or if he's the problem.

That home town attention everywhere he goes can't be good. Fresh start, away from this controversy has plusses.

Imagine the pressure he feels every time he turns in a project for his underwater basket-weaving class.

It could be that our coach had a “big boy” talk with him about next year. .....and....he made a good personal decision.
Not likely, but plausible.
